Hey Guys!

I hope everyone is doing well. Welcome to another Food Feature! I had the most amazing opportunity to attend a bloggers tasting hosted by STK, Orlando. STK is one of my favorite restaurants, simply because it is SEXY!! The décor in this restaurant is a win in my books. It is chic, modern and I don’t know what’s not to love. In addition to this, the food is great! How often do you find a restaurant that knocks it out of the park in all areas? In my opinion, there are only a few and STK is definitely one of them.

I fell in LOVE (love at first dine, lol) with STK when I visited the Las Vegas location last year. The ambiance, food and atmosphere were amazing. So imagine my pleasant surprise when I heard one was going to be opened in Orlando (I died!). I immediately started making plans for my birthday dinner later in the year, but that’s another story for another time. Let’s get back on track. The staff prepared a specialized menu for our tasting. We got to try all the appetizers and desserts that were on that menu and we were afforded the opportunity to pick one entree’. Check out my pictures of the menu items below:

Central Florida Lady Blogger Tasting Menu
LIL BRGs
wagyu beef - special sauce - sesame seed bun
Heirloom Tomato & Watermelon
red chile-honey dressing- dried jack cheese
Shaved Brussel Sprouts
apple - cranberry - aged goat cheese - marcona almonds
My thoughts (appetizers) – I am not a fan of brussel sprouts or watermelon but if you are, I feel like these appetizers were well done and very flavorful. The Lil BRGs were definitely my favorite!

Crispy Mahi Mahi Sandwich
pickled slaw - chili remoulade - potato bun
STK Salad
skirt steak - asian greens - pickled mango - peanuts
Filet Medallion
red wine reduction
Asparagus
Parmesan Truffle Fries
My thoughts (entrée) – This is where I take my hats off to the chef. I asked to have my steak well done and it came out perfect. I have gone to other restaurants and my 'well done' steak comes out like rubber; just way too dry to enjoy.

Bag O' Donuts
dulce de leche filling - spiced chocolate & raspberry sauce
Orange Dream Cheesecake
bruleed oranges - whipped cream
Caramelito Bar
cocoa nib - marshmallow - chocolate bavarian

My thoughts (dessert) – Simply amazing! They provided a little piece of heaven on earth. Just in case you were wondering, the cheesecake was my absolute fave. (but I LOVE cheesecake so I could be biased)

Ginger Mojito
hennessy vs, muddled mint and lime, topped with ginger ale

My thoughts (drinks) – My drink was great! No complaints here.

Well, at this point I don’t think it’s a secret. I LOVED every minute of my dining experience and I urge you to give STK a try. You definitely won’t be disappointed. The service is impeccable and the food is great. As for me, I will be back at STK for my birthday.

Hey Guys!!

I recently had the pleasure of attending a blogger’s tasting at Marlow’s Tavern for their new spring/summer menu. I’d like to share my views on the experience, as this was a real treat to me. Not only do I love food but I’ve never dined at this establishment before. I absolutely love trying new restaurants! Only problem is I tend to be a very picky eater. The event focused around having specific menu items brought out at various times for appetizer, main course and dessert tastings. How would I manage eating items off of a menu I didn’t choose? Lets find out!

Appetizers:

JT's Kettle Chips -
Crispy Potato Chips Crowned with Gorgonzola Cheese, Bacon, Roma Tomato and Scallion
Warm Brie Fondue -
Melting Brie, Swiss, Mascarpone, Chardonnay and Warm Salty Pretzel Bread
Marlow's Famous Hummus -
Grilled, Toasty Pita Points, Crisp, Fresh Veggies, Pickled Okra, Olive Oil and Spiced Pumpkin and Sunflower Seeds
Fresh Burrata Mozzarella -
Fresh Belgioioso Burrata, Roast Tomato & Eggplant Caponata, Toasty Ciabatta and Parslied Olive Oil
My Thoughts (appetizers) – Out of the four appetizers that we tried my favorite, by far, was JT’s Kettle chips. They excited my tastes buds and, besides, who doesn’t love bacon?! Even though the Kettle chips were my personal favorite, the other three were just as good. To be honest you couldn’t go wrong with any of the four menu options I mentioned in this post.

Entrees:

Banh Mi Chicken Wrap -
Soy Glazed Chicken, Grilled or Fried, Napa Cabbage, Pickled Veggies, Fresh Cilantro, Firecracker Sauce in Grilled Tortilla
Chopped Chicken Salad -
Grilled Prestige Farms Chicken, Romaine, Summer Squash, Garbanzo, California Olives, Cheese Blend, Shiitake, Apple-Wood Bacon, Chopped Egg, Avocado Basil Vinaigrette and Parmesan Croutons
Crisp Chicken Milanese -
Panko Crusted Chicken, Baby Arugula, Italian Parsley, Shaved Asiago, Roma Tomato, Lemonette, Fresh Lemon and Pine Nuts
Pan Seared Crusted Barramundi -
Scallion Crusted, Quinoa “Fried Rice” with Edamame, Baby Carrots, Napa Cabbage, Ginger, Scallion and Sesame Soy Glaze
My Thoughts (entrees):

Banh Mi Chicken Wrap - This was the meal that made me realize I don’t like fresh cilantro. After removing the cilantro, however, I did enjoy the wrap.

Chopped Chicken Salad - The salad was good except for the olives in my opinion, which I did end up removing. Like I said, I am a picky eater.

Crisp Chicken Milanese – Excellent, this was my second favorite entrée.

Pan Seared Crusted Barramundi – Loved it!!! After this meal I have tried several times to recreate Quinoa “Fried Rice” at home and I am still waaaay off. I highly recommend you give this meal a try if you are a fan of fish.

Dessert:

MT House-made Cheesecake -
New York Style Cheesecake, Peanut Butter, Milk Chocolate, Pretzel Crust with Salted Caramel

My thoughts (dessert) – The cheesecake was absolutely heavenly.

Drinks:

Watermelon Aqua Fresca -
St. George Green Chili Vodka, Fresh Watermelon, Fresh Lime and Splash of Soda
Blueberry Buck -
Reinventing a Tavern favorite...Smirnoff Blueberry Vodka, Fresh Lime, Simple Syrup, Barritt’s Ginger Beer and Shaved Nutmeg

My thoughts (drinks):

Watermelon Aqua Fresca- I can’t recommend this drink at all. I took two sips and I was done. Till this day I regretted ordering this drink. If you don’t like watermelon or you are a fan of sweet drinks, this drink is definitely not for you.

Blueberry Buck – I really enjoyed this drink! I wish I had ordered it again instead of the watermelon drink.

Overall Review

The food at Marlow’s Tavern was awesome! I left there completely pleased and satisfied knowing that I would revisit soon.

Hey Guys,

I never really follow trends when it comes on to fashion. I am more of that girl that stays true to her own personal style no matter what others may seem to think. Once in a while, however, there is a trend that comes along that rocks my world. For me, that trend is the ‘Off The Shoulder’ and I am soooooooo in love with this style that I don’t know what to do with myself. Needless to say, I must apologize to you guys for how many off-the-shoulder looks you may see on my blog and instagram going forward, lol…………. ok, ok……. I will try not to overdo it but it might be hard.

I have put together three looks that I really love. Check them out below and also let me know in the comments what has been your favorite trend(s) over the years.

Enjoy my lookbook.

Hey Guys,

I recently had the opportunity to attend a fashion event at Ted Baker’s Outlet store located in the Orlando Vineland Premium Outlets. The aim of the event was to discuss some the spring pieces that would be available at that location. The event was hosted by Orlando Fashion Girl and she did a wonderful job of highlighting some of her favorite pieces the store had to offer. I saw a few pieces that I fell in love with and just have to get my hands on, so to say the least, I will definitely be re-visiting the store. Below, I share with you some highlights of the event.

Hey Guys,

Is everybody excited that Spring has finally arrived? I know I am, because the weather here in Orlando has been CRAZY. Two days ago I woke up, it was warm, and yesterday through to today I needed a jacket because the temperature dropped into the fifties.

Given the current season, I decided to keep my outfit light and bright. I wore these distressed white jeans that I’ve been loving lately, and a bright orange sweater. I wore my sweater not only for warmth, but also because of my love for the color orange - I think it suits my skin tone quite well. It’s one of those colors I wear just to lift my spirits. Do you have a color that brightens your mood? Let me know in the comments below.
