My 2018 Birthday Wishlist

Hey Guys,

My birthday is a couple of days away and I have been keeping my eye out for any potential birthday presents. I thought I would share what I have had my eyes on so far.

My Birthday falls on a Tuesday this year, so I am celebrating it the weekend before. My only plan is to go to dinner with my husband and friends, which I am really looking forward to. My husband is trying to surprise me with a cake that he designed and I can’t wait to see it!

On Trend | Biker Shorts

Hey Guys,

Biker shorts; it’s one of those trends you either love or hate. There has been some discussion online as to whether or not this is fashion or just simple laziness. My two cents, however, is to each her own as not everything was made for everybody and, therefore, not everybody will like it.

I personally like this “lazy” wear and I don’t think of it any different than ‘athleisure'. I'm of the opinion that this is quite a chic way to run around the city and do errands. There you have it, my thoughts on biker shorts. Feel free to add to the conversation in the comment section below.

10 Things You Don’t Know About Me

1. My favorite chocolates are Snickers and Twix but, given the choice, I will always choose some type of pastry or cake over chocolate (I am a sucker for a good cheesecake and lets not even talk about Sugar and Spice [Jamaican pastry shop] cakes)

2. I talk to my sister every morning, unless she is traveling for work or the internet connection is down.

3. I pray a lot! Talking to God helps me to control my anxiety.

4. I love to travel but I hate flying.

5. I met my husband, Jason, through our mutual friend Jason.

6. I am very indecisive

7. I used to think my sister and I should swap names so our first and middle name would rhyme. Tian Leigh–Ann and Renee Shanae instead of the other way around.

8. If I find a meal that I like I will eat it over and over again. I don’t really care for trying new foods.

10. I am afraid of highways and I only take local roads, despite how much longer my journey will take.

On Trend | Snake Print

Hey Guys,

It’s clear to me that snake prints are going to be one of the fall’s biggest trends, if it isn’t already. You can’t open Instagram without seeing snakeskin prints plastered all over your favorite bloggers and can you blame them? All of the major fast-fashion retailers such as Zara, Topshop, and Missguided are all carrying this trend in abundance.

Snake and leopard print are two prints that are always rotated through fashion and, truly, never goes out of style. As my mom always pointed out to me, there are some items in your wardrobe that you should never ever get rid of; just stash them away until they are back in season. Case in point is the shirt I am wearing today. This shirt was part of the Altuzarra's capsule collection for Target that was released in September 2014 and, four years later, it is still on trend.
