Hey Guys,
For Memorial weekend I decided to visit some family in Palm Beach. It was a getaway I was looking forward to because I adore Palm Beach and any reason to visit is reason enough for me. I wanted a relaxing weekend this time, so I only had a few spots on my list that I wanted visit.
First up was Flagler Museum! The original house was completed in 1902. It was a 75-room, 100,000-square-foot Gilded Age mansion, know as Whitehall. This turned out to be a wedding present for Henry Flagler’s wife, Mary Lily Kenan Flagler. After a brief changing of owners, the museum was opened to the public in 1960. It is said to be visited by nearly 100,000 people yearly.
Next up was our Happy Hour Cruise. I really wanted to do the Sunset Cruise but that particular one was all sold out for the weekend. The happy hour cruise, however, ended up being lots of fun. We cruised along Palm Beach Island while listening to tropical music, sipping on our mixed drinks and discussing our favorite architectural details of the mansions we passed along the way.
The following afternoon, we headed for lunch at RH Rooftop Restaurant; this was on the top of my list for the weekend. Let’s just say I was blown away! This restaurant is beyond beautiful; it is absolutely divine and the ambiance and décor are simply perfect. For that they get 5 stars, however, the menu is very limited and I was not impressed by it at all; but, did I care? Mmmmm…… no! I just wanted to eat something quick and take all the pics I could and, to be honest, that’s what I did and I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon.
On Monday it was Memorial Day and my family had a small bbq, which we stayed for before heading back to Orlando.
